Tonight Marti and I were dinner guests of our good pal Christian Brenner. Aren’t Christian and I pretty in pink?

On the all-antipasti menu: smoked salmon and country ham. Deelish!

Veggies!

More tasty veggies. Followed by a cheese course and an apricot-pistachio tart I picked up at Eric Kayser. We drank crisp Pouilly-Fuissé and Bourgueil with our meal. A perfect summertime dinner.

As always at Christian’s home, the top shelf jazz CDs were spinnin’ throughout the evening.

On Friday night we'll be back at the Café Laurent to hear Christian's piano trio, featuring François Fuchs on bass and Pier Paolo Pozzi on drums, with special guest Olivier Cahours, acoustic guitar.
